Sit Down Stairlifts
For a smooth ride up and down your stairs, the sit down stair lift is your solution.
The cushioned seat, back and armrests as well as the footrest give you the best comfort while your glide along your staircase. Your stair lift will be built and installed to fit your specifications.
You will have peace of mind knowing that there are no external moving parts and a fail-safe braking system to ensure that an uncontrolled descent cannot occur. The sensors that are part of the Total Surface Protection (TSP) will bring the stair lift to a stop when an obstruction is sensed in its path.
The standard sit down stair lift model is built with a maximum lifting capacity of 308 lbs with an optional upgrade to 350 lbs.
Different seat widths/upholstery/harnessing/control options are available.
Stand Up Stairlifts
If bending at the hips or knees presents a problem, the Stand and Perch Stair Lift is the perfect answer to maintaining your lifestyle.
Just step onto the stair lift, lean against the padded back, and glide up and down your staircase.
The fully height adjustable seating arrangement will accommodate either a standing or perching position - which ever suits you best.
The maximum lifting capacity of the stand and perch stair lift is 220 lbs.
Outdoor Stairlifts
MediTek's Outdoor Stair Lifts have been installed worldwide from the Swiss Alps to the citrus gardens of Israel.
The same latest technology that is used in our indoor stair lifts is used for the outdoor model. The same standard features such as the safety sensors, DC (battery) powered, joystick or remote operation, fold-up armrests, seat and footrest and of course the smooth ride are part of the outdoor stair lift.
MediTek's Outdoor Stair Lifts are suitable for up to 300 feet of travel. The outdoor stair lift range comes pre-finished in an outdoor weather resistant-coating to help keep the look and finish of your stair lift longer.
Folding Hinge Track
If the end of the stair lift track obstructs a doorway or passageway, a folding (hinged) section of the track may be supplied as an option.
* No moving parts are exposed for your safety.
* The manual hinge track is a counterbalanced foldable section of the track that can be positioned by hand.
* The automatic, electrically-powered folding hinge track folds up automatically as your ascend the stairs and then automatically folds down into the operational position as you ascend the stairs
Seat Swivel
The manual seat swivel is standard in all MediTek stair lifts.
* At the flick of a lever, the chair can be manoeuvred to the 45° or 85° position and back again for safe and easy access on and off the stair lift.
* For your safety, the stair lift will not operate unless it is parked in the forward position.
* The powered seat swivel operates at the touch of a button to move into the parked or swivelled position at either end of the staircase.
Bridging Platform
Where there are just a few steps in a short bend (or 'fan') at the head of the stairway, there is the option of fitting a Bridging Platform.
* A manual or electronic Bridging Platform can be installed where there are only a few steps in the bend to negotiate.
* The manual bridging platform is counterbalanced and can be positioned manually in the extended (down) or parked (up) position.
* The automatic powered bridging platform is the ultimate ease of use. The platform folds away automatically as you descend the stairs and then moves into the operational position as you ascend the stairs. The automatic platform is integrated with your stair lift's Visual Diagnostic Display and battery power.
Seat Footrest Linkage
For those who find bending down to lift the footrest difficult, the footrest can be linked so that it can be lifted with the seat with ease and comfort.
